The sanitary facilities are situated at a school sports area in Racibórz, the Silesia province in southern Poland. The exterior design of the units is eye-pleasing as the solid teak wood panelling construction makes it an aesthetical ecological site neatly integrated within the nature of a small green town.
The ORLIKI Project constitutes the development of sanitary facilities, for example changing rooms or trainers’ rooms on recreational and sport areas around Poland within the framework of the “Orliki 2012” program. The latter is a governmental project based on the guidelines of The Ministry of National Tourism and Sports. 2012 was the year of The European Football Championships in Poland and Ukraine. Thus, the project aimed at building sports areas in each commune in the country by 2012 in order to heighten sports lifestyle awareness among children and youth.
The facilities which are very well insulated, are accomplished within the wooden construction container technology.
The ORLIKI sanitary facilities are prepared for easy and rapid connection. Since the modules have skylights instead of windows, they may be folded in any way. The light structure is strong, long-lasting and secure for children. The facility complies with all children safety regulations. For instance, the anti-slip flooring or special electrical system. The ventilation system is driven automatically, which is of great importance at such sports facilities. Additionally, the units are designed to be handicapped-friendly with cosmetic detail. For example, the washrooms are fully equipped including special selected fixtures for the disabled
